The Best of Sunset West

Based in Vista, California (just a few miles away from us here in San Diego!), Sunset West is one of the most promising outdoor furniture brands to come out of the west coast in decades. Founded in 2005, the new brand struggled for years to gain any traction in a flooded patio furniture market. Their furniture is high quality, but not quite “premium name brand” – so it’s more expensive than most big box store items, but significantly less costly than super-luxe brands. This was a relatively underrepresented niche when Sunset West came along, and a lot of people overlooked the fledgling company. At Patio Productions we are always excited to help our customers find amazing patio furniture brands.

But after a few years, Sunset West really started to gain ground. Word got out that this brand, based in the United States, not only had some amazing products at reasonable prices – but their customer service and friendly, effective cooperation with dealers was equally reputable. The company’s founder, Wes Stewart, even credits the real estate and banking implosion (and ensuing economic recession) of 2008 with some of Sunset West’s success: premium brand showrooms lost a lot of foot traffic, and casual big box furniture was seen as too cheaply-made to justify a purchase. Sunset West finally filled a niche that was in high demand!
